2013 was a lot of character art commissions, a lot of comic cons, and the end of 2013 saw my first art rep trying to take advantage of me. He worked for the CGC so he drilled me for sketch covers, pushed the amount of work i did instead of the quality of work I did. I dropped him in the beginning of 2014 when I found him flipping my sketch covers on ebay for double the amount lol. So there's a lot of sketch covers in this work, which didn't work so well for the actual quality of my work and I had a hard time dealing with the actual quality of my work and came to hate that i couldn't push myself to my full potential because of the paper i was forced to work on for the sketch cover collectors. I think this is where general dissatisfaction with my work began and when I started chasing a certain idea of what my work could be. Before then, it'd always developed organically instead of me striving toward a greater end. The beginning of 2013 was finishing paintings I'd started before Shinobi Clans and being awed by how different I was technically, finding myself in a completely different mental and physical space finishing the paintings than when I'd started.
